Welcome to this UCPlaces Where to Live Tour of Brampton, Ontario. My name is Shelly and I’ll be the one showing you around today. Brampton is a suburban city, located in the Greater Toronto area. Its population is over half a million, making it the 9th largest municipality in Canada. Brampton wasn’t always like this though. In the 1950s Brampton’s population was only about 10,000. Call that a jump! Did you know Brampton was once nicknamed “The Flower Town of Canada” due its booming flower growing industry? For a while, Dale’s Estate Nursery was the town's largest employer and was the largest flower business in North America. Offering more than 6,000 acres of parkland, Brampton provides access to a wide variety of outdoor activities. People from around the world have come together to live, work, play and pray in this City. Brampton residents represent more than 170 different cultures and speak more than 70 languages. To start this tour meet me right by Heart Lake Conservation Park.

Hello, and welcome to this UCPlaces tour of Naperville, Illinois! My name is Shelly, and I’m excited to show you some of the best spots in the area to explore in this wondrous city. Before we get started, I’d like to introduce you to the sponsor of today’s tour, our local expert Realtor Michele Nixon of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago. Michele has been a full time Realtor since 1999 and has lived in the Chicagoland area for over 40 years. She is an associate Managing Broker with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, is a pre-license instructor and serves on several Realtor association committees at the state and local level. Though originally from Wisconsin, Michele has called Naperville home for over 20 years, so she knows her way around the place. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices is where it’s at for first time homebuyers to luxury residential markets, middle-market communities and commercial properties. But they aren’t just about real estate. Giving back to the community through the Sunshine Kids Foundation is a huge priority of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. The foundation provides emotional support and positive activities for children with cancer. I’d say that’s pretty great.
