Desde aquí, seguiremos hacia el este, cambiando poco a poco las autopistas llenas de tráfico, los edificios de oficinas y las zonas residenciales por pueblos más pequeños, bosques, ríos y paisajes de montaña.

La parte urbana de nuestro viaje está terminando, pero lo más espectacular de la ruta está por venir. Muy pronto nos adentraremos en las faldas de las montañas Cascade, rumbo al impresionante Stevens Pass.

Así que pónganse cómodos y disfruten cómo cambia el paisaje. Seattle ya quedó atrás y las montañas están justo enfrente.

Cruzando el río Snohomish.
Ahora estamos cruzando el río Snohomish, una de las vías fluviales más importantes del oeste de Washington.

El río nace justo río arriba, donde los ríos Skykomish y Snoqualmie se unen para formarlo. Desde ahí, fluye por una amplia llanura aluvial antes de desembocar en el estrecho de Puget, cerca de Everett.

El fértil valle que rodea al río ha sustentado la agricultura por generaciones y sigue siendo una de las zonas agrícolas más productivas del oeste de Washington. Además, el río es una ruta de migración clave para el salmón, lo que lo convierte en parte vital del ecosistema de la región.

A medida que cruzamos el río y seguimos hacia el este, el área metropolitana de Seattle va quedando atrás. Los vecindarios y comercios darán paso gradualmente a bosques, ríos y comunidades más pequeñas mientras nos abrimos camino hacia las faldas de las montañas Cascade.

How to take a UCPlaces tour
Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.
Download the app (Android or iOS), purchase the tour (either here on the website, or from within the app).

How does the tour work?
UCPlaces acts as your personal tour guide, providing self-guided audio tours fully navigated within our app using GPS-based navigation. You won't need to switch between external navigation apps.
Whenever you approach a point of interest (POI) on the tour, our app will automatically play the relevant audio story at the right time and place.
If you start the tour before reaching the first POI, the app will navigate you to the starting point and then begin the tour.

The app is your tour-guide, it needs to know where you are located on the map to be able to trigger the points of interest. It also needs access to audio and media files to provide you with this experience.

We have been working hard to deliver a great experience. Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
