Ahora mismo están en el famoso Mirador del Cerro del Obispado, uno de los mejores puntos panorámicos de toda la ciudad. Este es el momento perfecto para hacer una pausa de unos cinco minutos, bajarse del coche, estirar las piernas y absorberlo todo.

Desde aquí arriba, de verdad pueden entender la personalidad de Monterrey. Una ciudad moderna y enorme rodeada de montañas imponentes por todas partes. El horizonte, las autopistas, los barrios que trepan hacia las colinas, y esos picos escarpados que rodean la ciudad, todo eso ayuda a explicar por qué Monterrey se siente tan única comparada con otras ciudades de México.

Ese edificio histórico a tu izquierda que viste al subir hasta aquí es el Museo del Obispado, uno de los lugares emblemáticos más antiguos e importantes de Monterrey. El edificio data de finales de los mil setecientos y fue construido originalmente como residencia de un obispo, lo que explica el nombre "Obispado", que significa "sede episcopal". Pero a lo largo de los siglos, este lugar en la cima de la colina se convirtió en mucho más que un sitio religioso. Debido a su posición estratégica dominando la ciudad, también jugó un papel en conflictos militares y batallas regionales a lo largo de la historia de México. Hoy en día, el edificio funciona como museo dedicado a la historia de Monterrey y el norte de México, con exposiciones que cubren desde la época colonial y la independencia hasta la industria y el crecimiento moderno. Incluso si no entran, el entorno por sí solo vale la pena. Entre el histórico edificio de piedra, la gigantesca bandera mexicana aquí al lado y las impresionantes vistas de la ciudad, esta zona se siente como una encrucijada entre el viejo Monterrey y la potente ciudad moderna que lo rodea hoy.

Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.

UCPlaces acts as your personal tour guide, providing self-guided audio tours fully navigated within our app using GPS-based navigation. You won't need to switch between external navigation apps.
Whenever you approach a point of interest (POI) on the tour, our app will automatically play the relevant audio story at the right time and place.
If you start the tour before reaching the first POI, the app will navigate you to the starting point and then begin the tour.

The app is your tour-guide, it needs to know where you are located on the map to be able to trigger the points of interest. It also needs access to audio and media files to provide you with this experience.

We have been working hard to deliver a great experience. Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
