Penn Valley Park: Comienza Nuestra Aventura por Kansas City
Empezamos nuestro recorrido aquí en el Parque Penn Valley, uno de los espacios verdes más históricos y queridos de Kansas City. Inaugurado en 1904, el parque se extiende por más de 175 acres justo al sur del centro.

El Parque Penn Valley es más conocido por el imponente Liberty Memorial, hogar del Museo Nacional de la Primera Guerra Mundial, que se erige como uno de los monumentos más reconocibles de la ciudad. Desde aquí, también tienen vistas panorámicas del horizonte de Kansas City, lo que lo convierte en un lugar perfecto para empezar nuestro recorrido.

Torre de la Libertad y Museo Nacional de la Primera Guerra Mundial
A tu derecha se alza la Torre del Liberty Memorial, uno de los monumentos más emblemáticos de Kansas City. Con 217 pies de altura, fue dedicada en 1926 como tributo a quienes sirvieron y se sacrificaron durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. En su base, dos esfinges gigantes de piedra miran hacia el este y el oeste, simbolizando la Memoria y el Futuro.

Debajo de la torre se encuentra el Museo y Memorial Nacional de la Primera Guerra Mundial, el museo oficial de los Estados Unidos dedicado a la Gran Guerra. En su interior, las exhibiciones dan vida al conflicto global que redefinió el siglo XX, con artefactos que van desde armas y uniformes hasta cartas y fotografías. Algo que llama mucho la atención es el puente de cristal suspendido sobre un campo de 9,000 amapolas rojas, cada una representando 1,000 muertes de combatientes en la guerra.

Desde lo alto de la torre del memorial, los visitantes pueden contemplar una de las mejores vistas panorámicas del centro de Kansas City. Es a la vez un lugar solemne de recuerdo y un símbolo de la dedicación de la ciudad a honrar la historia a gran escala.

Taking a UCPlaces tour is fun and easy.

How does the tour work?
UCPlaces acts as your personal tour guide, providing self-guided audio tours fully navigated within our app using GPS-based navigation. You won't need to switch between external navigation apps.
Whenever you approach a point of interest (POI) on the tour, our app will automatically play the relevant audio story at the right time and place.
If you start the tour before reaching the first POI, the app will navigate you to the starting point and then begin the tour.

Though you may run into unexpected obstacles (the world is constantly changing), our app has multiple features and mechanisms in place to help you overcome them, including: AI assistance, force play an audio if you can't reach the stop, skip or return to stops, automatic rerouting and more.
